Eziyoda Magbegor is an Australian women's basketball player who plays for the Seattle Storm of the WNBA. She was born on 13th August 1999 in Wellington, New Zealand. Magbegor started her basketball journey at a very early age in Australia when her parents shifted to Canberra. She completed her graduation from the University of Canberra Senior Secondary College Lake Ginninderra. In 2017 she began her professional career at WNBL playing for the Canberra Capitals. Next year she moved to the Melbourne Boomers where she signed for three years. In 2020 she became the Betty Watson Australian Youth Player of the Year because of her excellent basketball season.
In 2019 Magbegor was selected 12th overall by the Seattle Storm in the WNBA draft. In her WNBA career Magbegor achieved significant success, became a WNBA Champion in 2020 and a Commissioner’s Cup Championship in 2021. Known for her defensive effectiveness, Magbegor was named to the WNBA All-Defensive Second Team twice, in 2022 and 2023. She also became an Olympic medalist playing for Opals in the 2024 Paris Olympics. In the 2024 WNBA season, she averaged 12.6 points, 2.2 points and 8.6 rebounds per game in a Storm jersey.
