Marina Mabrey was born on September 14, 1996, in Belmar, New Jersey, and is a shooting guard for the Connecticut Sun in the WNBA. She began her basketball journey at Manasquan High School, where she led her team to a state championship victory and was named the tournament MVP in the McDonald's All-American Game in 2015. Mabrey’s impressive high school career paved the way for her to play college basketball with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, where her performance made the ACC All-Freshman Team selection and she led the team's 2018 NCAA championship win.

Mabrey entered the WNBA in 2019 and was selected 19th overall by the Los Angeles Sparks in the 2019 WNBA Draft. In her rookie season, she played as a backup shooting guard, averaging 4.0 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game. Her scoring ability reached new heights during her time with the Dallas Wings, where she averaged 10.0 points, 2.3 assists, and 3.1 rebounds per game. In the 2024 mid-season, she was traded to the Connecticut Sun from Chicago Sky for a player and draft pick sweep deal. In 2023 she won the Italian league playing for Pallacanestro Femminile Schio.

In the 2023-24 season, Mabrey averaged 13.7 points, 4.4 assists and 4.8 rebounds per game while shooting 34% in 3-point range and 38% from the field.
