Rhyne Howard is a professional WNBA Shooting Guard for the Atlanta Dream. She was drafted first overall in the 2022 WNBA Draft and immediately made a lasting impression in the league, securing the Rookie of the Year honors. She also immediately became an All-Star, being nominated in both the 2022 and 2023 WNBA seasons. Howard made WNBA history by being the first WNBA debutant with over 30+ points in a game. Coming into the WNBA, Howard was already a hot prospect as she was a unanimous consensus first-team All-American in 2021. She was also selected into 3 First-Team All-American teams and was the WBCA Coaches All-American in 2021. A 2-time SEC Player of the Year (2020 and 2021), she is also a FIBA AmeriCup MVP (2021).

Apart from her accolades, Howard is most well known for being a very proficient scorer, and shows up with her share of the points when her team needs most. She averaged 17.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.8 steals per game in the 2024 WNBA season. In the 2025 WNBA off-season, Howard started playing for Vinyl BC, a team in the Unrivaled 3x3 basketball league. Off the court, Howard is involved in the Zeta Phi Beta sorority.
