A six-time WNBA All-Star Skylar Diggins-Smith is a point guard for the Seattle Storm in the WNBA. She had a decorated high school career where she earned the titles of National Gatorade Player of the Year and Gatorade Female Athlete of the Year. She at that point played college ball for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, driving them to three successive Last Four appearances and two straight NCAA championship recreations. She also won the Nancy Lieberman Award two times for being the best point guard in the nation at the college level.

On January 17, 2025, Diggins-Smith led her team, the Lunar Owls, by hitting the game-winning 3-pointer in their opening game victory against the Mist.
