Keithian Deshun Alexander, also known as Bear Alexander is an American football defensive lineman who’s currently plying his trade with the USC Trojans. As a kid, Bear enrolled in five different high schools in four years before starting his collegiate football career. He began his high school career at Terrell High School before joining Denton Ryan High School late in the 2020 season where he helped them secure the Texas 5A state championship. Bear was ranked a four-star recruit and the No.43 overall player in his class of 2022 and had several offers from some of the top programs in the nation including Texas, Texas A&M, Alabama, Miami.
Bear embarked on his collegiate football journey with the Georgia Bulldogs where he served as a depth and rotational player in his freshman season in 2022. He played 12 out of 15 games and recorded nine total tackles, 2 QB sacks and 13 QB hurries.
Bear’s biggest impact came in the National Championship game against Georgia where he totalled two tackles and a sack. His true freshman season flashed major potential but the No.1 defensive lineman entered the transfer portal in 2023 and committed to USC Trojans over offers from Colorado, Miami, Oregon, Penn State, Texas.
In 2023, Alexander recorded 48 tackles and 1.5 sacks for the Trojans making an immediate impact on the defensive front. The standout defensive tackle is reportedly back in the NCAA transfer portal after just one season with the Trojans.
