Hank Bachmeier is an American college football quarterback who is set to play his final year of college football with Wake Forest. He kick-started his high school football career at the Murrieta Valley High School where he was rated a consensus four-star prospect by all major sports outlets. During his junior year, Bachmeier was named Southwestern League Player of the Year after he finished the season with 776 yards and 10 touchdowns on 96 carries. He strongly concluded his high school career throwing over 13,000 passing yards and 2,000 rushing yards.

The 6-foot-1, 221-pound quarterback from Murrieta started his collegiate football journey with Boise State over offers from Boston, California, Colorado State, Georgia, Minnesota, Ole Miss, Alabama, Wisconsin, and USC among others. As a freshman in 2019 with the Broncos, Bachmeier missed six games due to an injury and finished the season with 1,879 yards, six interceptions, and 10 total touchdowns. The following year as a sophomore, the Murrieta native started in five games. In four years with Boise State, Bachmeier started in 29 games throwing over 6,605 yards with 41 touchdowns and 19 interceptions. He entered the transfer portal in 2022 and signed up for Louisiana Tech, with two years of eligibility remaining. Last season, Bachmeier saw action in nine games with eight starts and recorded 2,058 passing yards with 10 touchdowns and five interceptions. After just one lone season with the Bulldogs, Bachmeier decided to transfer to Wake Forest Demon Deacons for his sixth and final year of college football.
