Jordan Hancock is an American football cornerback who has been a part of the Ohio State Buckeyes defensive line over the past few seasons. Being one of the top high-school prospects in the nation, the Atlanta native initially planned to purse basketball over football until his freshman year at North Gwinnett High School. He recorded two interceptions and 12 pass breakups as a junior in 2019. Hancock opted to sit out in his final year of high school due to the COVID 19 pandemic as both his parents had underlying health conditions. However, he decided to opt back in his senior season in October 2020 and helped North Gwinnett secure three regional titles and one state championship during his varsity years.
Hancock commenced his collegiate football journey with Ohio State University. As a member of the 2021 recruiting class, Hancock was highly rated as one of the nation’s top cornerbacks and was also named the No. 67 overall player by 247Sports. Jordan is currently in his fourth season with the Buckeyes after enjoying a breakthrough season as a junior in 2023.
