Miles Scott is an American football defensive back currently playing for the Illinois Fighting Illini. He began his high school football career at the St. Thomas More High School where he was rated a three-star wide receiver by 247Sports. He was part of the CCL All-Conference and competed in track during his high school years. The 5-foot-11, 210-pound defensive back began his collegiate football journey with Illinois over offers from the Army, Columbia, Yale, and Nebraska among others.
As a freshman in 2021 with the Fighting Illini, Scott saw action in four games but redshirted the season with one start. He joined the program and played on special teams and reserves in his first two seasons. Scott played every game for the Illinois program in the 2022 season making four receptions for 29 yards. Last season, the Dolton native switched to defensive back and ended up starting all 12 games at safety. He was second on the team with 63 total tackles. The former wide receiver will enter his second year at the new position in the 2024 season.
