The property also has a big garden, which, according to the player, is one of the favorite spots for the children. In an interview, the father of three shared how he tried to transform the garden into a mini-golf course for his two boys during the lockdown. He also put nets around the garden for other activities in the area.

Together with his brother, he also owns a guesthouse in Durban. In addition, De Villiers has shared pictures of his residence in Pretoria, South Africa, which has a bar, a miniature golf course, and an indoor pool.
