Sourav Ganguly was a former Indian captain, who revolutionized the Indian cricket team from the dynamics of external influence, with a solid foundation that went on to have a legendary name in almost every member of the playing XI, and an aggressive approach towards the game. Post his retirement, Ganguly served as the President of BCCI for three years.

Where does Sourav Ganguly live?

Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly resides at 2/6 Biren Roy Road Behala, Kolkata – 700 008. His house is a landmark in Kolkata. The Prince of Kolkata lives in this palatial abode with his wife, Dona Ganguly, and daughter, Sana Ganguly.

Sourav was born in a well-to-do family in Behala on 8 July 1972 and for the last 51 years, he has lived in the same place. It has been over six-and-half decades since the Ganguly family has been living at their Behala address. Dada took his nascent steps as a sportsperson at this very place, where he and his elder brother, Snehasish, would train on a concrete wicket, under the watchful eyes of their father, Chandidas Ganguly. It has over 40 rooms and every place mirrors the royalty of the house.

The living area is the place where the ex-captain of the Indian cricket team likes to hang out with his family or friends and have a good time watching TV. The extension of the sitting area is painted in bright colors as wished by his mother and Dada also believes such play of colors sends a message of peace throughout the house.

The newly-built part of the house where the ex-skipper used to play cricket with his brother is now a path that makes for the perfect and cozy place for the winter with all the sunshine passing through.

In an interview with Asian Paints, Dada took the viewers on a tour around his abode and revealed his favorite place around the house - a corner where he enjoys his cup of tea reading the newspaper, often the sports column. This is the most comforting space for the former player.

There is one very special room around the house which was particularly put together by his father. The room has every award and recognition that Dada has received over the years. The room is for anyone to look back on what Ganguly has achieved in his career.
