Kevin James Kisner

American professional golfer Kevin James Kisner was born on February 15, 1984. He competes on the PGA Tour. Kisner competed in the NGA Hooters Tour and Tarheel Tour from 2007 to 2009, winning three matches. In 2009, he participated in six Nationwide Tour tournaments.

Kisner played on the Nationwide Tour in 2010 and won the Mylan Classic, and then he qualified for the 2011 PGA Tour and finished 11th on the money list.

Kisner finished T11 at qualifying school to secure his card for 2012. Kisner did not earn enough money on the PGA Tour in 2011 to keep his card. By placing 167th on the money list and failing to keep his card once more, he narrowly missed receiving a card in qualifying school.

In 2013, he joined the Web.com Tour again and won the Chile Classic in March. He earned a 2014 PGA Tour invitation by placing 13th on the regular-season money list on the Web.com Tour in 2013.

Kisner returned to the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play's championship round on March 31, 2019. This time, he defeated fellow American Matt Kuchar to win the tournament. In a six-man sudden-death playoff in August 2021, Kisner prevailed to claim the Wyndham Championship with a birdie on the second extra hole.

Kisner was chosen for the American team for the 2022 Presidents Cup in September of that year; he played in three matches, losing two and tying one.

At Pinehurst, in his father's native North Carolina, just before the 17th hole, Kisner's regular caddie, Duane Bock, approached Steve and handed him his son's bag, asking him to take control. Steve Kisner attempted to decline it out of respect for Bock but eventually gave up and entered the course.

“At first, I was a little concerned about interfering with the group,” Steve Kisner told PGA.com. “One of the guys still had a chance to make the cut and I didn’t want to change the flow. But Kevin insisted, and once he insisted, I was glad to do it.”
