Alexis "Lexi" Thompson, an American professional golfer, was born on February 10, 1995. She won her first amateur title at eight in 2003 at the U.S. Kids Golf World Championship. Between 2003 and 2009, she won six amateur events, including the 2007 and 2009 Junior PGA Championships. Further, at 12, she became the youngest golfer in history to qualify for the U.S. Women's Open, a record that Lucy Li broke in 2014. She also represented the United States in the Junior Ryder Cup, Junior Solheim Cup, and Curtis Cup in 2008, 2009, and 2010, respectively.

Thompson turned professional three years later, in 2010. The next year, at 16, she made history as the LPGA Tour's youngest winner, winning the Navistar LPGA Classic. In the same year, she won the Dubai Ladies Masters, making her the European Tour's second-youngest winner. In May 2024, Thompson announced her retirement from full-time professional golf but stated she would continue competing in select events. Over her career, she has won 15 professional tournaments, including the 2014 Kraft Nabisco Championship, her lone major title.
