Seamus Power was born in Ireland's Waterford. At East Tennessee State University, where he played golf for the university, he won five tournaments, including the Atlantic Sun Conference Title in 2007 and 2010.

Seamus Power’s Professional career

Seamus Power earned a card for 2016 after finishing in the top two spots of the Web.com Tour standings in 2015 and placing 72nd overall in terms of earnings. The United Leasing & Finance Championship was won by him in May 2016, making him the first Irish player to triumph on the Web.com Tour. Power competed for Ireland in the 2016 Olympic competition.

Power won his first PGA Tour competition at the Barbasol Open in July 2021. On the sixth additional hole of a playoff, he prevailed. In doing so, Power joined Pat Doyle, Peter O'Hara, Pádraig Harrington, and Shane Lowry as Irish players who have triumphed on the PGA Tour.

After placing third at the Sony Open in Hawaii on January 17, 2022, Power entered the top 50 for the first time in his career. Power qualified for his first Masters Championship in March 2022 after reaching the 2022 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play quarterfinals. Power, who tied for 12th at the 2022 U.S. Open, earned his third consecutive major cut. Power won his second PGA Tour contest at the Butterfield Bermuda Open in October 2022.
