Shane Lowry’s parents are Brendan and Bridget Lowry.

Lowry's father, Brendan, is a retired Irish Gaelic footballer. He was born in Ferbane, County Offaly, Ireland, on July 19, 1959. In the 1982 All-Ireland Football Championship final, which also included his two brothers, Mick and Sean, he scored three points to win the title for Offaly, according to the Irish Mirror.

In a heartfelt Instagram post on Mother's Day 2020, Lowry acknowledged his mother, Bridget's, efforts in raising him. He shared some pictures of Bridget on his Instagram account with the caption, "Happy mother’s to the most important women in my life. Wouldn’t be half the man I am without all of these in my life."

Later, in July 2024, Shane Lowry revealed how his mother remained in the dark regarding his selection to carry the Irish flag in the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics. According to him, if he had told her about his duties in the opening ceremony, "It would have been in the Tullamore Tribune" (via Offaly Express).
