Right so, the Mumbai Indians Women have won yet another game and they've maintained their winning streak in the competition. They continue to remain at the top of the pile but the Gujarat Giants are at number 3. For now, it's Soumarya Dutta signing off on behalf on Bidipto Datta. Good night and see you soon!

Harmanpreet Kaur (Mumbai Indians captain and Player of the Match, 54 runs off 33 balls): I think we were okay for most parts, but we have to give credit to their batters for taking it so deep. We have to give credit to Bharat Fulmali! She was excellent! There are areas to improve in for sure, because matches come thick and fast. We have a lot of experience in our bowling attack, that always helps. I think that we will come back stronger with a positive mindset. I enjoyed myself out there with the bat! Just want to continue that. We have understood how the conditions are here, so we will try to execute our plans accordingly tomorrow. We all need ice baths now to cool off and get ready for tomorrow!

Amelia Kerr(Mumbai Indians Women)- It's been nice to be up the order and open the batting for my side. There is plenty of more cricket to come and hopefully I can get the runs when it matters. The likes of Amanjot Kaur and Yastika Bhatia were fantastic. At the halfway mark, we were slightly behind but we managed to get to par score in the end. It's nice to get a win batting first. There is one short side and I was bowling with the short leg side boundary. The batters need to be smart and we need to stick up to the challenge as bowlers. I tried to keep the stumps in play. There was some incredible ball striking tonight and that was a challenge for us. Shabnim Ismail is ridiculously good. It's great to have her in our time and she always delivers in the powerplay. Her pace and yorkers are an asset for us.

Ashleigh Gardner (Gujarat Giants captain): We obviously knew that this is a high-scoring venue, but we let a few runs slip by in the field. We wanted to chase it down in 18 overs to finish on top, gave it a good shot, but knowing that we are in the finals have given us a cushion. We have taken lots of positives from this game to be honest. Yes there are lots of learnings as always, but we are happy with where we are. We believe in Kashvee as a batter who can do a job at the top of the order. Bharati too is a good player, she can blast teams out with the bat! Let's see whom we play next, but we want to reach the final for sure!

We have witnessed one of the best games of this year's WPL and this has been an absolute humdinger. The Gujarat Giants were down and out at the halfway stage and Mumbai Indians were cruising. However it was Bharti Fulmali who scored an incredible 61 runs from 25 balls to set the cat among the pigeons. It was a knock that featured four maximums and it put the pressure back on the Mumbai Indians Women who were struggling to defend 179 runs.

Harmanpreet Kaur trusted her spinners despite the hitting carnage from Fulmali. She was dismissed by Amelia Kerr and Hayley Matthews accounted for Simran Shaikh who also played a vital cameo towards the end. The Gujarat Giants needed 12 runs from the final over and the West Indian veteran Hayley kept her nerve to help her side get over the line. It was a riveting final half an hour of cricket which culminated in a 9 run win for the Mumbai Indians Women but it has shown why WPL is rated so highly as a Women's league.

Earlier on, Beth Mooney and Kashvee Gautam struggled to find the boundaries initially as the Gujarat Giants were off to a shaky start. Beth Mooney was the first to depart as Matthews struck with the ball. Sanskriti Gupta came into the attack next for the Mumbai Indians Women and she picked up the wicket of Kashvee Gautam. Harleen Deol did take on the bowlers but skipper Ashleigh Gardner also perished as the Giants were reeling at 40/3.

Harleen Deol was dismissed by Amelia Kerr just as she was starting to build up a partnership with Phoebe Litchfield. The latter also looked good for a while but she was dismissed by Shabnim Ismail who knocked her over. Deandra Dottin put up some resistance with Bharti Fulmali but departed as Amelia Kerr accounted for her. With six overs remaining in the innings, the Gujarat Giants needed 80 runs from 36 balls.

It was Shabnim Ismail who was fantastic in the powerplay and in the middle overs as she picked up a couple of wickets. Amelia Kerr conceded a few runs as Fulmali took her on but she also had the final laugh as she finished off with three wickets to her name. Matthews too showed her skills under pressure as she picked up a couple of wickets in her spell.

The Mumbai Indians Women have pulled off an unbelievable victory in this nerve wrecking game of cricket. They win by 9 runs and this one will mean a lot to the hosts!

19.6 Hayley Matthews to Priya Mishra, MUMBAI INDIANS HAVE WON! Good-length off-break outside leg-stump. But Priya tries another reverse shot, this time looking to scoop it to the left of the keeper. But, the connection was not there. However, it was a stumping in the end as Yastika had the presence of mind to take the bails off when Priya wandered off!

19.5 Hayley Matthews to Priya Mishra, WHAT'S HAPPENED HERE? REVIEW FOR CAUGHT BEHIND AS WELL AS A STUMPING CASE! Good length slower off-break around off-stump. The attempted reverse scoop gets missed. The fielders appeal for it but the umpire remains unmoved. After that, Yastika whips the bails off with Priya seeming not in the crease. Fair delivery, no bat on ball though. So the review is lost. Now, on to the stumping! But, the foot is grounded when the bails are dislodged! NOT OUT!

19.2 Hayley Matthews to Simran Shaikh, CLEANED HER UP! Good length flatter ball on off-stump. This turned and kept a bit low. Simran went for the big shot over wide long-on on the charge and missed it. The sound of timber was what she could hear after that!
