Mitchell was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts with the 52nd overall pick in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft. The draft pick was first acquired by the Carolina Panthers and subsequently transferred to the Los Angeles Rams.
Mitchell played collegiate football for the University of Georgia. In Week 3, Mitchell was named SEC Freshman of the Week.
