Texans legendary wide receiver Andre Johnson is one of the latest members to be named in the NFL’s Hall of Fame ranks. In his 14 seasons career in the NFL, Johnson had a remarkable five 100-catch seasons (more than any Hall of Fame member) and three 1500-yard seasons. Johnson was drafted by the Houston Texans as the first-round pick (3rd) in the 2003 NFL Draft. He led the league in receptions and receiving yards twice in the course of four seasons. The seven-time Pro Bowl put his career-high numbers when he had 115 receptions for 1,575 yards in 2008. Johnson is a member of the 10,000-receiving yard club as he retired from the NFL with 1,062 yards and 14,185 yards in 2016. He is also the first player to be inducted into the Texans’ Ring of Honour in 2017.

Johnson attended the University of Miami playing for the Hurricanes. He is also inducted into the University’s Hall of Fame ending with 92 receptions for 1,831 yards. Johnson also ran track in college winning several events at the Big East Indoor Championship during his time. He was a parade All-American in high school and was rated among the top prospects graduating in 1999.
