Leonard Cornilus Floyd is an American football defensive end for the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL. The Chicago Bears drafted Floyd with the 9th pick in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft. The Bears advanced to the ninth overall pick by trading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers their fourth-round selection and the eleventh overall pick. Floyd recorded seven sacks, 33 tackles and a forced fumble and was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team. Floyd concluded the following season with six sacks and 34 tackles. In 2019, the Bears exercised the fifth-year option on Floyd’s contract. However in 2020, Floyd signed a one-year contract and a four-year contract extension in the following season with the Los Angeles Rams. Over three years with the Rams, Floyd totaled 30 sacks and 184 tackles and won the Super Bowl LVI in 2022.
