Leonard Cornilus Floyd is an American football defensive end for the Atlanta Falcons in the NFL. The Chicago Bears drafted Floyd with the 9th pick in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft. The Bears advanced to the ninth overall pick by trading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers their fourth-round selection and the eleventh overall pick. Floyd recorded seven sacks, 33 tackles, and a forced fumble and was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team. Floyd concluded the following season with 4.5 sacks and 34 tackles. In 2019, the Bears exercised the fifth-year option on Floyd’s contract. After spending 4 seasons in Chicago, Floyd landed in Los Angeles. Over three years with the Rams, Floyd totaled 30 sacks and 184 tackles and won Super Bowl LVI in 2022. His next two stops were Buffalo and San Francisco, where he spent 1 year each. Since the 2020 season, Floyd has been a consistent force getting after quarterbacks. Since the 2020 season, Floyd has not had a single season where he didn't eclipse the 8.5 sacks mark.

Floyd committed to playing collegiate football at the University of Georgia in 2013. In 13 games, Floyd totaled 55 tackles and 6.5 sacks in his first year as a Bulldog. His sophomore season saw Floyd record 55 tackles and six sacks. The following 2015 season, he had a total of 74 tackles. Floyd declared that he would forgo his senior season to enter the NFL draft of 2016. Before committing to collegiate football, Floyd played high school football at Dodge County High School.
