Austin Booker is an American football defensive end for the Chicago Bears in the NFL. The Bears selected him as the 144th pick in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Booker attended Center Grove High School, leading his team to a Class 6A state title in 2020. He also lettered in basketball. Booker was a three-star recruit and was ranked as the No.9 prospect in Indiana by 247Sports. Booker committed to the University of Minnesota playing for the Golden Gophers to start his collegiate career.

Booker did not see any game time in his freshman year and appeared in 6 games the following year at Minnesota. He decided to transfer to the University of Kansas in 2023. In his debut year with the Jayhawks, he recorded 56 tackles, 40 of which were solo. Following a successful season, Booker skipped his remaining eligibility to enter the 2024 NFL Draft.
