BJ Ojulari is a part of the 2023 NFL Draft class. The footballer played as a defensive end for the Louisiana State University (LSU) tigers.
BJ Ojulari attended the Marietta High School in Marietta, Georgia where he grew up. He established a school record with 19 sacks as a senior, and the Marietta Daily Journal awarded him the area defensive player of the year. Prior to his senior year, Ojulari had pledged to play college football at Tennessee, but he later switched to LSU.
Ojulari played for the LSU Tigers from 2020 till 2022. In his first season, Ojulari took part in all ten of LSU's contests, recording 16 tackles, four sacks, five tackles for loss, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and was selected to the Southeastern Conference (SEC) All-Freshman team. He was also awarded the SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week twice in his last season with the LSU Tigers.
BJ Ojulari is a light edge rusher with great pass-rush plans. He also possesses the ankle and hip flexion necessary to bend around the arc and charge into the quarterback. However, that flexibility has no effect on his balance, which he can maintain throughout reps. Although Ojulari can play in a two or three-point stance, a wide alignment suits him the most. He can use that as a runway to turn his speed into power, which he has done repeatedly.
Ojulari is a strong prospect going into the 2023 NFL Draft.
