Cameron "Cam" Jurgens, a center for the Philadelphia Eagles who was formerly a right guard, was born on August 21, 1999. He was selected by the Eagles in the 2022 NFL Draft's second round as the #51 pick. Throughout three regular seasons, he has played in 44 games, starting 27 of them (via Pro Football Reference). He went to Beatrice High School and is an all-around athlete, participating in basketball, shot put, discus throw, and football; in the latter, he played as a linebacker, fullback, punter, and tight end as well.

In 2018, Jurgens enrolled at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He redshirted his first season due to a foot injury and with practice at the offensive line, he eventually made it to the center position. Since the NCAA reinstated freshman eligibility in 1972, he was the first freshman to start at center for the Cornhuskers in all 12 of their games. He also received the honor of third-team All-Big Ten in 2021, after which he chose to forgo his senior year for the 2022 NFL Draft.
