Cameron Dicker is an American football placekicker for the Los Angeles Chargers in the 2024 NFL season. Having gone undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft, Dicker signed with the Los Angeles Rams as a free agent. However, he was released by the Rams on 16th August, 2022, and later got waived two days after signing with the Baltimore Ravens in the same month. In early October, the Philadelphia Eagles signed him to their practice squad. His first in-game action as a pro came against the Arizona Cardinals on October 9, 2022, when he stepped in for the injured Jake Elliott. He made two field goals on two attempts in that game, including a 23-yard game-winner, for which he was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week. However, by the end of that month, he was released once again. His last stop came in Los Angeles, when the Chargers signed him and Dicker has been with the franchise ever since November 2022. According to Spotrac, the Chargers signed him to a contract extension worth $22 million before the start of the 2024 NFL season. By the end of the 2024 NFL season, Dicker has made 91 out of 97 field goal attempts, with a 93.8% success rate, as per Pro Football Reference.
Revisiting his early years, Dicker was born in Hong Kong and spent more than a decade in Shanghai. Later he did his schooling at Lake Travis High School in Austin, Texas, and won the Texas 6A Division I State Championship with them in 2016.
