Casey Austin Keenum, commonly known as Case Keenum, is the quarterback for the Houston Texans of the NFL as of 2024. After signing as an undrafted free agent, he began his NFL career with the Houston Texans in 2012. Keenum’s 13-year pro career has seen him play both as a starting quarterback and QB2. While a majority of his career has been as a backup, Keenum did see starting reps for a considerable amount of time from 2016 to 2019 with Rams, Vikings, Broncos and Redskins (now Commanders). As of December 2024, Keenum has played 80 games and passed for over 15k yards. He has thrown for 79 touchdowns to 51 in his pro career (via Pro Football Reference).

Keenum, born in Brownwood, Texas, moved to Abilene, Texas where he attended Wylie High School. After high school, he studied at the University of Houston, where he committed to playing college football for the Houston Cougars football team from 2006 to 2011. Throughout his collegiate career, he continued to add feathers to his hat. Some of his noteworthy achievements include securing the Sammy Baugh Trophy twice while also getting honored as C-USA Offensive Player of the Year two times. He concluded his collegiate career with 19,217 passing yards, which still stands as NCAA FBS record.
