Christian Barmore is an American football defensive tackle for the New England Patriots in the NFL. The New England Patriots selected Barmore as the 38th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Barmore put up 46 combined tackles in his first season, which saw him become a member of the PFWA All-Rookie team. Heri Barmore plays a significant role in his life and career. She suffers from multiple sclerosis (MS), a chronic disease affecting the central nervous system. MS causes the immune system to attack the protective covering of nerves, leading to various symptoms such as fatigue, pain, vision loss, and impaired coordination.

Inspired by his mother's struggle, Barmore has used the NFL's My Cause, My Cleats program to support the National Multiple Sclerosis Society during his time with the Patriots. He has spoken openly about witnessing the challenges his mother faces, including daily injections and heat sensitivity.

Barmore's dedication to his mother is evident in his words:

I've seen the pain they go through. Taking needles every day to keep them healthy, can't be in the heat for a long time because it might trigger them. I'm doing this because of my mom. When I was young, I didn't even [understand] what happened ... every day I just fight for my mom.

Recently, he demonstrated this love by gifting her a new home. In a heartwarming video shared on Instagram, Barmore showed his mother her new, spacious house, to which she responded with joy, saying, "I love it. It's huge."
