As a sophomore, Johnson's presence on the field expanded, participating in all six games, three of which he started during Michigan's abbreviated season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Displaying his growing prowess, he accumulated 16 receptions for 254 yards, including standout performances with 82 yards against Indiana and an impressive 105 yards against Rutgers.
