Miami Dolphins (2010-2015)
Dan Campbell began his coaching career as an Intern at Miami Dolphins under head coach Joe Philbin in 2010. Within a year of his service, Campbell was promoted as a tight end coach in 2011. After being responsible for the TEs, Campbell stepped up to fill in as an interim coach in 2015. However, after a record of 5-7, Adam Gase was chosen over him following the season. Campbell bid farewell to the Dolphins in 2015 after five years of service.
New Orleans Saints (2016-2020)

New York Giants (1999-2002)
The New York Giants drafted Dan Campbell in 1999. Following his addition, the Giants played Super Bowl XXXV as he appeared in four games in 2000. After a season or two, Campbell established himself as the regular tight end. After making 60 appearances over four seasons with the Giants, Campbell departed with the New York team in 2002. He had 43 receptions for 369 yards during the time.
Dallas Cowboys (2003-2005)
Dan Campbell signed with the Dallas Cowboys as a free agent in 2003. He started 15 games averaging 9.8 yards per carry for the Cowboys in his debut year. Due to ruptured ligaments in his foot, he was limited to just three games in 2004 and was placed on the injured reserve list. Campbell appeared in 35 games starting 30 in his three year stint with the Cowboys.
Detroit Lions (2006-2008)
Dan Campbell signed his second deal as a free agent with the Detroit Lions in 2006. He recorded 21 receptions for a career-high 308 yards in his debut year (2006) with the Detroit Lions. However, he struggled with injury problems making only three appearances over two seasons (2007,’08). Lions had to part ways with the tight end following the 2008 season.
New Orleans Saints (2009)
Dan Campbell signed with the New Orleans Saints as a free agent in 2009. However, early in August, Campbell went through an MCL injury getting reserved on the injury list. The Saints went on to win the Super Bowl XLIV that season although Campbell failed to make an appearance the whole season. Following the injury and the season, Campbell opted to retire from Professional football in 2009.
