Dominique started to attend the University of Washington in 2018. He played in four games as a true freshman. He strategically preserved a redshirt season under the updated NCAA rules. His first action as a Husky happened when he managed they managed victory over Stanford. He recorded one tackle during the game. His other achievements include one tackle each in the Oregon State and Apple Cup games, and a tackle against Utah in the Pac-12 Championship Game.
Hampton was also named the UW coaches' special teams player of the game for the Pac-12 title game.
