Andrew Stephan Lock is an American football quarterback for the New York Giants in the NFL. The Denver Broncos drafted him with the 42nd pick in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Lock appeared in five games in his debut year with a 4-1 record and completed 100 out of 156 attempts in 2019. Lock became a regular starter in his second year, starting in 13 games and throwing 254 passes for 2,933 yards. Lock led the league for longest pass completed (92 yards) in 2020. After three seasons and 24 appearances with the Broncos, he was traded to the Seattle Seahawks. After failing to appear in his debut year and making only four appearances in 2023, Lock signed with the New York Giants in March 2024.
Growing up in Missouri, Lock attended Lee’s Summit High School. He completed 2,731 passing yards and 28 touchdowns as a senior. Coming out of high school, he was presented the Simone Award as he was rated the sixth-best QB nationally by ESPN. Lock committed to the University of Missouri in 2015. Lock finished first in the SEC in passing yards (3,399), second in passing yards per game (283.3) and yards per completion (14.34) in 2016. He captained his team for three years from 2016-2018. He finished his college career playing in 50 games, completing 883 passes for 12,193 yards. Lock was presented with 2018 Team Bob Jeffries Kansas City Metro Player of the Year and made it to the Media's 2018 Preseason All-SEC First Team.
