Drew Sample is an American football tight end for the Cincinnati Bengals in the NFL. The Bengals selected him as the 52nd pick in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft. In his rookie season with the Cincinnati Bengals, he started in two games, while appearing in nine averaging 6 yards per carry. He became a starter the following year, putting up his career-high numbers with 40 receptions for 349 yards. In his six seasons in the NFL, Sample had appeared in 61 games having 103 targets, 80 receptions and averaging 7.8 per carry.

Growing up in Bellevue, Sample attended Newport High School. He earned first-team KongCo 4A honours for consecutive years. Sample led his team to the first round of playoffs with an 8-2 record captaining the squad as a senior. He was rated as a four-star recruit coming out of high school by ESPN. Sample committed to his home state university playing for the Washington Huskies from 2014 to 2018. Being redshirted as a freshman, he played in all of the 14 games in 2015. Sample was given the Earle T. Glant Tough Husky Award at the end of the season. He earned an honourable mention in the All-PAC 12 twice in his collegiate career (2016, 2018). Sample finished his college career appearing in 51 games for 46 receptions and 487 yards.
