Geno Smith is an American quarterback for the Las Vegas Raiders of the NFL as of March 2025. He was drafted by the New York Jets with the 39th overall pick in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Plagued by injuries, Smith struggled to maintain his position as the starting quarterback after his first two seasons. He played for the New York Jets, New York Giants, and Los Angeles Chargers before joining the Seattle Seahawks in 2019. Smith earned his first Pro Bowl selection, was named Comeback Player of the Year and led the league in completion percentage during the 2022 season. In March 2025, he was traded to the Raiders for a 2025 third-round pick (#92), according to ESPN.

Smith, who was born in Miramar, Florida, and later attended Miramar High School, where he began playing high school football. After graduating, he attended West Virginia University and played for the West Virginia Mountaineers from 2009 to 2012.
