While most NFL players have their prime years sometime between 25-30 years of age or as a matter of in any sport, an athlete’s peak performance years is always before the age of 30 and not after. However, that is not the case for Geno Smith. The man is coming off his best year of football at the age of 32. Smith was drafted by the New York Jets as the 39th overall pick in the second round of the 2013 draft.

In the 2022 season, Smith emerged and played out of his mind making the pro-bowl and guiding the Seattle Seahawks to a wild-card playoff berth. He had a completion rate of 69.8 which led the entire league and he also rushed for 366 yards to equal the career best from his rookie season. His passer rating of 100.9 ranked fifth in the league and had a yard gained per game of 251.9 which is insane to think about.

Not many people counted on Smith to take over the starting duties like he has, after Russell Wilson’s exit from the Seahawks, but he had something to prove. After being on a continuous one-year contract for more than seven years, he had enough. Once the Seahawks handed over the keys to Smith, he took on the responsibility to lead the team to promising places. Smith was for the very first time chosen to the Pro Bowl game, was ranked 14th in the NFL AP MVP voting, and was named the Comeback Player of the Year for very obvious reasons. What he did on the field last season was nothing short of spectacular. He was box office and let the world know about his talents by saying “I ain’t write back though.” This quote has become one of the most inspirational words coming from an NFL athlete. Especially because not many backup quarterbacks get the chance to become great so late into their careers. Many analysts and fans had written off Smith but he just never wrote back.

Former ESPN employee and current analyst of the FOX Sports’ “Undisputed,” Skip Bayless had called Geno Smith a ‘laughable and an overrated player’ before Smith was drafted in the NFL. It was a long time coming for Smith but he is finally here. Currently the Seahawks are 6-6 and trying to find a way to make it to the playoffs. Smith is having another great season but he needs to do more for the Seahawks to reach the postseason.

How many Children does Geno Smith have?

Smith had his first and only son named Seven Santana Smith on July 19th, 2017. He most likely had his first child with partner Hayley Eastham but there are a lot of speculations regarding who Seven’s actual mother is. It has been rumored that Smith has dated quite a lot of women however there is not much information available about it.

Smith announced the birth of his first child on X saying “7.17.19 Seven Santana Smith 4:47 pm - greatest day of my life thank you, lord.” Smith has kept his life private and does not share much. However, he has been a loving father to Seven and has shared a rare photo of his son on X.
