Kaia Harris competed in the 2024 United States Olympic Team Trials in Eugene. She finished ninth and qualified with a discus throw of 189 feet and represented the United States, but did not proceed to the semifinals, according to the Columbia Missourian.

Kaia did not compete in any outdoor track and field events in the 2019 season; however, she did compete in indoor events, placing ninth at the Hoosier Open with a weight throw record of 15.12 meters. Her sophomore season was called off due to COVID-19. In 2021, she was awarded the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award and was also named to the Academic All-Big Ten Outdoor Track & Field and the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.
