Jauan Jennings Contract

Last Modified Jan 24, 2024 08:14 GMT

Bennie Jauan Jennings, born in Cowan, Tennessee, started as a quarterback at the high school level. Moving to the nearby University of Tennessee saw him change his role and take on the role of wide receiver. He did show off his dual-ability on a 58-yard trick play where he became the passer once more.

His second season saw him embrace the role and tally over 500 yards as a receiver. As time went on, Jennings grew in his new role from the eye-test perspective. But, in 2019, the visual finally matched up with the statistical output as the 5th-year receiver eclipsed the 950-yard mark for his best collegiate season.

Despite being taken in the 7th round of the NFL draft by the San Francisco 49ers, after a rough showing at the NFL Combine, Jennings’ role grew within the offense steadily. By the midway point of the season, he was a fully integral part of their attack, registering over 200 yards in the final 5 weeks. He would continue his improved play in Year 2 as well, eclipsing 400 yards for the season.

With bigger names taking on a larger role, Jennings’ role dropped in 2023. As a result, his touches, appearances, and overall production took a big dip.

How much is Jauan Jennings getting paid?

Jennings’s current short-term contract with the San Francisco 49ers is not very rewarding due to his limited usage and production, which sees him earn just $940,000 for the whole year. Given that it's a one-year deal that ends after this season, the 940 thousand dollars is the entire amount that Jennings will be earning.

How much money does Jauan Jennings make a minute?

Jennings's earnings from the entire one-year deal are $940,000 which earns him just a tick above $1.75 per minute each day.

Due to the avalanche of options that the San Francisco 49ers have at their disposal, Jennings is quite expendable. His role in the organization is very limited. As a backup mostly used during times of injuries to key players, the 49ers could not afford to pay him a large-scale deal.

How much of Jauan Jennings’s Contract is guaranteed?

The one-year deal that Jenning signed with the San Francisco 49ers ensures he has a spot on the roster and in the NFL. However, given his limited look role, which is mostly utilized during times of injuries to other key rotational players, Jennings did not get any of the amount guaranteed to him.

What are the terms of Jauan Jennings’s Contract?

While a constant with the organization since getting drafted in 2020, Jennings has been with the team on limited one-year deals with minimal pricing. This season that deal came through in the form of a one-year, $940,000 deal, where the entire amount was his base salary. With no signing bonus or guaranteed amount, the entire sum works as his base salary in one of the most straightforward deals in the league.
