The North Carolina-born defensive tackle Javon DeAndre Hargrave was drafted in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He was born on February 7, 1993 in Salisbury. Hargrave attended North Rowan High School. In high school, Hargrave played two sports, but basketball was his first love.
Hargrave committed to stay home and play for South Carolina State. In 2012, he recorded 45 tackles and 4.5 tackles for a loss while still a redshirt freshman.
