Jimmy Garoppolo is an American professional football quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League as of 2024. Born on November 2, 1991, the New England Patriots selected Garoppolo in the second round of the 2014 draft as the 62nd overall pick. He attended Rolling Meadows High School, where he played both quarterback and linebacker for the Mustangs football team, passing for 3,136 yards and 25 touchdowns during his junior and senior seasons. In addition to football, Garoppolo also excelled in baseball as a pitcher, stating it was his first love. Though a two-star recruit, he accepted a football scholarship from Eastern Illinois University, where he set school records and launched his professional football career.
