Kadarius Toney is a former American football wide receiver in the NFL. The New York Giants drafted Toney with the 20th overall in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. While Toney only played in 10 games in his rookie season, he still finished second on the team with 420 receiving yards that year. After just a season and 12 appearances, he was traded mid-season to the Kansas City Chiefs during the 2022 NFL season. While he was unable to match his rookie season production in Kansas City, he did set a Super Bowl record by recording a 65-yard punt return in 4th quarter of Super Bowl LVII. Nevertheless, his poor on-field production resulted in Chiefs parting ways with him in the 2024 offseason. After signing with the Cleveland Browns practice squad in September, he was released by the team on December 10, 2024.
During his time with the Florida Gators, the two-time Super Bowl Champion was named to Second-team All-American and First-team All-SEC in 2020. Revisiting the early years of Toney’s life, he was born in Mobile, Alabama. His football career began at Mattie Thomas Blount High School in Eight Mile, Alabama.
