Khalil Delshon Mack is an American professional football linebacker for the Los Angeles Chargers as of the 2024 NFL season. The Oakland Raiders selected him with the fifth overall pick in the first round of the 2014 NFL draft. He played for the Oakland Raiders from 2014 to 2017, the Chicago Bears from 2018 to 2021, and has been with the Los Angeles Chargers since 2022. As of Week 7 in 2024, he has recorded 611 total tackles, 104 sacks, and 3 interceptions.

Before his journey in the NFL started, Mack played college football for the Buffalo Bulls football team and received a scholarship from the State University of New York at Buffalo to play Division I football. He earned first-team All-MAC honors for the three consecutive season from 2011 to 2013. He continued his top-notch performance throughout his college career and finished his college run where he won the CFPA Linebacker Trophy for the 2013 season. He was also named the 2013 MAC Defensive Player of the Year. He also set several Buffalo career records with 75 tackles for loss, 28.5 sacks, and 16 forced fumbles in his collegiate career. Notably, Mack attended Fort Pierce Westwood High School in Fort Pierce, where he played quarterback before transitioning into linebacker.

Khalil Mack plays as a linebacker for the Los Angeles Chargers as of the 2024 NFL season. His professional career in the NFL began in 2014 with the Oakland Raiders. In the 2014 season in a match against the New York Jets, he made his official NFL debut where in the following match he recorded six tackles. He finished his rookie season with 76 tackles, four sacks, a forced fumble, and three pass deflections in 16 games and starts and was ranked 49th by his team members in the NFL Top 100 players of 2015.

Before the 2015 NFL season, Mack was changed from his usual position that being as a linebacker to right defensive end, but as the season began he continuously played at both positions. He also became the first player in NFL history to make the AP All-Pro First Team at two positions both at right defensive end and outside linebacker in the same season.
