Kobie Turner, a defensive end for the Los Angeles Rams, was born on August 26, 1999. He was drafted by the team as the 89th pick in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He had 9.0 sacks in his first season, more than any other rookie defensive player in the NFL. He received the December NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month award. Turner went to Fairfax County, Virginia's Centreville High School. In 2018, he enrolled as a walk-on at the University of Richmond, where he played from 2018 until 2021. He received the CAA Co-Defensive Player of the Year award in 2021. He recorded 158 tackles and 15 sacks while playing in 37 games overall, including 27 starts. In 2022, he moved to Wake Forest University. He recorded 38 tackles and two sacks at the end of the season.
