Laremy Tunsil is an American football offensive tackle who plays for the Houston Texans. Tunsil, a standout athlete from Lake City, Florida, attended Columbia High School and excelled in both football and track and field. He was a two-time All-State offensive tackle in football and credits much of his development to competing with teammate Timmy Jernigan. Despite various obstacles, including a suspension during his junior year, Tunsil showed his potential in high-pressure situations, such as his spectacular performance against Texas A&M's Myles Garrett.
After a stellar college career, Tunsil entered the 2016 NFL Draft, where he was expected to be a top pick. Despite a last-minute dispute regarding his social media accounts, the Miami Dolphins drafted him 13th overall. Tunsil played 14 games as a rookie, largely at left guard, before moving to left tackle in his second season. In 2019, he was moved to the Houston Texans, where he soon established himself as a key contributor, earning repeated Pro Bowl nods and signing a record-breaking contract extension in 2023.
