Maema Njongmeta is a gridiron football player who has declared for the 2024 NFL Draft. He played five years of college football at the University of Wisconsin from 2019 to 2023. Njongmeta attended Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, Illinois and was rated as a three-star recruit.

In 2019 he joined the University of Wisconsin. Playing for the Wisconsin Badgers football team, he redshirted his freshman year. In 2020, he got to play only 1 game while 2021 saw him get a chance to play in just 6 games. Njongmeta’s senior year and fifth-year senior year were the best of his college career as he got to play in 13 games each season as a linebacker. In 2022, he made the Third-team All-Big Ten.

Some of Njongmeta’s strongest traits are his anticipation abilities in reading the quarterback, his quickness to get to the ball carrier, and his toughness during tackles. Yet, his biggest disadvantage lies in his size as he lacks the length and strength to maximize his ability.

She started her professional career with Kraft Foods Group as a Food Safety Scientist in 2010 and has progressed her way as a Senior Research Scientist, Quality Leader and finally to a Group Lead. Overall, she has around 14 years of experience under her belt as a professional.

Prior to starting her career, Njongmeta’s mother earned a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology with microchemistry as her minor in 1995. In 1997, she completed her MSc in Vet Public Health. In 2001 she earned a Diploma in Agrifood Business and then immigrated to the United States where she did her Ph.D. in Food Science and Technology from Texas A&M University.

As for Njongmeta’s father, Leo Njongmeta is an Associate EHS Director and Global Biosafety Officer at AbbVie Inc. based in North Chicago, Illinois, as per his LinkedIn profile. He started working in 1997 when he was in Cameroon as a Research Associate at the WHO MACROFIL Field Project for nearly 6 years.

In 2003, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Texas for three years after which he became an Assistant Research Scientist at Texas A&M University. In 2018 he joined AbbVie Inc. as a Global Biosafety Officer and then became the Associate EHS Director in 2021 which is his current designation.

As for his educational qualifications, he has a BSc in Microbiology after which he did his MSc in Zoology. In 2003 he earned his Doctorate in Veterinary Parasitology. His most recent degree is an MBA in Leadership and Operations & Supply Chain Management in 2018.

What Nationality are Maema Njongmeta’s Parents?

By birth, both of Maema Njongmeta’s parents are Cameroon nationals. Both of them immigrated to the United States in search of higher education. At the moment, it seems that they are still Cameroon citizens and have not obtained American citizenship, but there is no clarity on this matter.
