The Michigan Panthers are considered to be underdogs in the upcoming season of the USFL after having a 2-8 record and finishing 3rd in the North Division of the USFL in the last season.
In spite of having the number 1 overall pick in the 2023 draft, the Panthers performed poorly, whereby none of the players drafted signed contracts with the Panthers. The Panthers drafted an Offensive Tackle in Jarret Horst with their number 1 pick. However, Horst declared for the National Football League (NFL) draft.
While the Panthers have lost some significant players such as Paxton Lynch and Lance Lenoir Jr., they have managed to retain some of their best players such as Stevie Scott lll and Frank Ginda who led the team in rushing touchdowns and total tackles respectively.
While the team is considered to be an underdog to win the upcoming season, with a focus on training, team strategy and health, the Panthers can surprise many people and set the foundation for the next season.
What is the Michigan Panthers’ Win-Loss Record?
While the 2023 season is yet to start, the Panther’s record last season was 2-8 (2 wins to 8 losses). With one game left in the 2022 season, the Panthers were tied with the Pittsburgh Maulers, having a record of 1-8. The final game of the season for the Panthers was against the Maulers and the winner of the game was to receive the 1st overall pick in the 2023 draft class. The Panthers emerged victorious 33-21.
Where can I watch Michigan Panthers’ games?
All games of the USFL will be streamed nationally on all digital platforms and television networks by Fox Sports and NBC sports. Viewers can also try Spectrum and Sling to watch the Panther’s games.
Who is the owner of the Michigan Panthers
The Michigan Panthers were owned by a group of investors led by A. Alfred Taubman back in 1983 and 1984. They are currently owned by National Football League Enterprises Co, LLC, (Fox Sports).
How much did the Michigan Panthers Cost to Buy
Since USFL teams do not have individual owners, it is unknown how much the team may cost to purchase. What is known is that FOX Sports, which is the sports media division of Fox Corporations, revived and administered the league with an investment of $150 million and is considered the owner of the entire league.
How many championships have the Michigan Panthers won?
The Michigan Panthers won the league championship in their inaugural season in 1983. However, the team has been unsuccessful in winning a championship in the revived edition of the league.
