Patrick Lavon Mahomes II, simply known as Patrick Mahomes of Tyler, Texas, U.S. is notable for being the quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL as of October 2024. Mahomes, who has led the Chiefs to six consecutive AFC Championship appearances since getting the nod as a starter back in 2018 was a two-way athlete back in college with Texas Tech Red Raiders. He played both college football and baseball at Texas Tech University, before focusing solely on football since his sophomore season. One of the only five quarterbacks in NFL history to win three or more Super Bowls as a starter, Mahomes was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft as the #10th overall pick.
