New Jersey-born football guard Quenton Emerson Nelson was drafted in the first round (6th pick) of the 2018 NFL Draft. Nelson in his rookie year with the Indianapolis Colts made it to the PFWA All-Rookie team in 2018. He's started in all 95 games he's appeared in, earning a spot into First team All-Pro thrice and Pro Bowl for six consecutive seasons. His career-high numbers came when he started 17 games playing 1,151 snaps in 2022. Nelson is one of the most efficient guards in the leagues having five seasons with 1000 or more snaps in his six years.

Nelson attended Red Bank Catholic High School was ranked 29th nationally by Rivals and 46th by Scout. He also appeared in the 2012 U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Nelson committed to the University of Notre Dame in 2014. In his junior year, he started all 12 games and contributed to his team averaging 417.6 yards per game. He made it to the Second Team All-American, and Sports Illustrated Second Team All-American and was also Notre Dame Offensive Lineman of the Year in 2016. Nelson would go on to captain the Notre Dame team in 2017.
