Throughout the season, the verdict on the Kansas City Chiefs offense was one of struggle. Due to multiple drops and fumbles, the once-vaunted Andy Reid-Patrick Mahomes-powered offense was coming apart at the seams. But by the time the playoffs came around, the team had found some groove between star tight-end Travis Kelce and an unlikely star in rookie Rashee Rice. He racked up 262 receiving yards in the postseason and was one of the key components to make Chiefs back-to-back Super Bowl winners in 2023.

During his collegiate career, Rice would take over the starter role in his sophomore season and tally over 600 yards in the following 2 years. However, it was in his final year that he truly showcased some explosive upside. In 12 games played, he would total over 1,300 yards, good for a spot on the First-Team All-AAC. For Kansas City, the choice was obvious. After the haul they got for Tyreek Hill, the Chiefs had focused on rebuilding a stout defense.

With that call complete, the next mission was replacing Hill's production. While Rice is yet to reach the levels of the cheetah, he has become a reliable contributor in an otherwise stale offense. As a result, the 55th pick in the 2023 NFL draft would tally over 900 yards for the season and has been even better in the playoffs.
