Travis Konecny is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward and alternate captain for the Philadelphia Flyers in the NHL. He was born March 11, 1997, in London, Ontario. The Flyers selected him in the first round, 24th overall, during the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

Konecny grew up in Clachan, where he practiced on frozen ponds while watching hockey on TV. He started his minor hockey career with the Chatham-Kent Cyclones before moving to the PEAC hockey academy and playing for the Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs. His impressive 114-point season in 2012–13 led to him being picked first overall by the Ottawa 67's in the 2013 OHL draft. Konecny spent two and a half seasons with the 67's before being traded to the Sarnia Sting. He also represented Canada in several international tournaments.

Where does Travis Konecny Live?

Travis Konecny lives in Center City, Philadelphia, a lively downtown area. He enjoys the change from his small hometown in Clachan, Ontario, and has embraced city living.

He has convinced his Philadelphia Flyers teammate Travis Sanheim to join him in the area. They enjoy living close to each other and often drive to practice and games together.

Their friendship, marked by constant banter and pranks, has made them known as the "Odd Couple" among their teammates as per The Athletics. The duo's relationship dates back to representing Canada at the under-18 and under-20 world junior championships, but they weren't close then due to differences in leagues and age. Their friendship deepened during the 2017-18 season when Sanheim joined the Flyers and briefly roomed with Konecny.
