Academically, George was awarded the Bobby Smith Trophy and Ivan Tennant Memorial Award, becoming the first player since 2012 to win both in the same season. Additionally, he represented Canada in the World Junior Championship Under-18 (WJC-18), playing 6 games with a 2.33 GAA and a .915 save percentage.
