Evgenii Dadonov is a professional ice hockey player from Russia, currently playing for the Dallas Stars in the National Hockey League (NHL). Prior to the Stars, Dadonov also has tenures with the Florida Panthers, Ottawa Senators, Vegas Golden Knights and the Montreal Canadiens. Notably, has represented Russia in international competitions, winning gold medals at the World Junior Championships and World Championships.
Originally drafted by the Florida Panthers in 2007, Dadonov joined the team in 2009 and spent a season with the Rochester Americans in the American Hockey League (AHL) before making his debut with the Panthers. However, unable to find a regular spot on the Panthers lineup resulted in a trade to the Carolina Hurricanes. Interestingly, he didn't play a game with the Hurricanes instead he was assigned to the Charlotte Checkers. After his stint in the NHL, Dadonov returned to the KHL with Donbass and later joined SKA Saint Petersburg, where he played a crucial role in winning the Gagarin Cup. Dadonov returned to the NHL with the Florida Panthers, signing a three-year contract. Throughout the years, Dadonov has shifted between teams while still maintaing his point porduction in the league. His most recent trade involved him getting traded to the Canadeins before signing a two-year contract extension witth the Stars in June 2023.
