Ryan Reaves, born on January 20, 1987, is a Canadian professional ice hockey right winger currently playing for the Toronto Maple Leafs in the National Hockey League (NHL). Throughout his career, Reaves has played for various teams, including the Minnesota Wild, St. Louis Blues, Pittsburgh Penguins, Vegas Golden Knights, and New York Rangers. His father is Willard Reaves, a former gridiron football player who participated in both the Canadian Football League (CFL) and the National Football League (NFL).

Reaves began his hockey journey at the age of five and later ventured into football at eight. Despite excelling in both sports during his youth, a torn posterior cruciate ligament during a hockey tournament led him to focus solely on hockey. Drafted 36th overall by the Brandon Wheat Kings in the 2002 WHL bantam draft, Reaves continued to make a mark in the hockey arena, leading his school team to the 2004 McDonald's Provincial High School Hockey Championship.

Moving forward, Reaves was drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. Over seven seasons with the Blues, he showcased his skills before being traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2017. Subsequently, he joined the Vegas Golden Knights and played a crucial role in their journey to the 2018 Stanley Cup Finals. Reaves later signed with the New York Rangers in 2021 and, after a brief stint with the Minnesota Wild, joined the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2023 on a three-year, $4.05 million contract.
