Tomas Hertl, born on November 12, 1993, is a Czech professional ice hockey forward currently playing for the Vegas Golden Knights in the National Hockey League(NHL). Selected 17th overall in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft by the San Jose Sharks, he spent his first 11 seasons with them. Before his NHL career, Hertl played for HC Slavia Praha in the Czech Extraliga(EHL).

Hertl possesses several strengths, including his imposing physique and solid defensive capabilities, which were likened to those of Martin Hanzal by Muir. However, Muir also noted that Hertl lacks agility and finishing prowess, sometimes attempting overly ambitious plays.
