Travis Konecny is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward and the alternate captain for the Philadelphia Flyers in the NHL, as of 2024. Born on March 11, 1997, in London, Ontario, he was raised in Clachan, where his passion for hockey began on frozen ponds. Konecny started his minor hockey career with the Chatham-Kent Cyclone.

He later moved to the PEAC hockey academy, playing for the Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs. His standout performance with 114 points in 2012-13 led to his selection in the OHL in the 2013 OHL draft. After excelling in junior hockey, Konecny entered the NHL with the Flyers in the 2015 NHL Draft, where he quickly earned a full-time spot during the 2016-17 season. Konecny has earned the spot in the NHL All-Star Game twice in 2020 and 2024.
